Return Policy
Vouchers for photography sessions sold by Dumbletons Photography are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or studio credit, except where required by law or if Dumbletons Photography cancels a booked session. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Voucher redemptions require booking a session and payment of a £35 booking deposit; at least seven calendar days’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel without forfeiting the deposit. One free reschedule is allowed (subject to availability).

Full Return & Refund Policy — Dumbletons Photography (Vouchers) Effective date: 25 February 2026
1. Scope
- This policy applies to gift vouchers (“vouchers”) issued by Dumbletons Photography for photography services.
- This policy is subject to and works alongside our Booking Terms & Conditions. Where local law provides greater consumer rights, the law will prevail.
2. Vouchers – Refunds, Cash Value and Credit
- Vouchers are non‑refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or converted into studio credit, except where required by law or where Dumbletons Photography cancels the booked session.
- Vouchers may be transferred to another person.
3. Voucher Validity

Unless otherwise stated on the voucher, vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. After expiry, the voucher will be void unless we agree to an extension at our discretion.
4. Redeeming a Voucher and Booking Deposit
- To redeem a voucher, you must book a session, subject to availability.
- Voucher redemptions require a £35 booking deposit to secure the session date (paid at booking). The deposit will be refunded at your ordering appointment or deducted from the total of your final order, provided you cancel in accordance with clause 6 below.
5. Booking, Rescheduling and the One Free Reschedule
- A free reschedule is permitted per booking with a minimum of seven calendar days’ notice. Availability is subject to change.
- If you use your one free reschedule and then cancel or request further changes, the deposit/session fee will not be refundable or transferable.
- Additional reschedules beyond the one free change may be refused or may require payment of a new deposit/session fee.
6. Cancellation and No‑show
- A minimum of 7 calendar days’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel a booked session without forfeiting the booking deposit or non‑voucher session fee.
- Cancellations with less than 7 calendar days’ notice and no‑shows forfeit the booking deposit or non‑voucher session fee. A new deposit/fee will be required to rebook.
- If Dumbletons Photography cancels a session, we will offer either a rebooking at a mutually agreeable date or a full refund of deposits/fees paid for that session.
7. Refunds for Studio Cancellation or Fault
- If we cancel the booked session for reasons within our control (e.g., illness of the photographer, equipment failure), you may choose a full refund to the original payment method or a rebooked session.
- If a voucher is misdescribed or faulty at the point of sale, we will offer a remedy in line with consumer law.
8. Studio discretion

We may offer remedies in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
9. Abuse, Fraud and Repeated Late Cancellations
- We reserve the right to refuse service, deny rebooking or cancel vouchers where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud or a pattern of last‑minute cancellations that causes loss to the business.
- In such cases, we may suspend bookings pending investigation and may refuse refunds for proven fraudulent claims.
10. Charge-backs and Disputes
- If you initiate a charge-back with your bank without contacting us, we will investigate and provide evidence to the payment provider. If the chargeback is reversed in our favour, you may be liable for costs incurred.
